There are so many unknowns.. that I don't think we can really estimate the EAD process timeline.
For instance, lets consider we all get our initial EADs (in whatever time estimation one can make with the little information one have), I believe, it will be really interesting to see how much time USCIS takes to renew EAD's. Currently it has to be renewed yearly.
They would definitely have to either increase work force or increase grant EAD renewal's of 3 years in order to cope up with the number of applications.
I hope they would have decided all of this before accepting all AOS applications otherwise they would have to do alot of leg work.

Have all those visas made available been used up so far by USCIS? I doubt it.
They are not coming clean on this...first they said they used up 60K visas, now they are saying they worked over wkend to use 25K VISAS...
Its a big scandal....Just to prevent us from filing...

Memo always supercedes the current definition although it shoudnt as in the case of the h1 neufield memo, so you may not be right
Definition of EB-2 Advanced Degree:

So far lot of discussions on how to start LLC/Inc
but how to start a company without changing current status
Here is my status:
My wife and I are on H1 and we got our EAD's now the question are:-
My wife remains on her H1 for safe....until we get GC.
Is it possible me to stay on H1 and start a LLC using my EAD to do a parttime business ?
Please provide Pros and cons if any.....

I understand your pain ( I am in the same boat ). EB3-I PD:June 2003. All we can do is keep the struggle going.
Why should you contribute, because if it wasnt for IV following up with Congresswoman Lofgren, your signature would simply read:
"PD Date: 03/2003 EB3,i140 aprvd from NSC: 09/2005".

We all are being fooled and frusturated by USCIS.
.....
Lets just wake up for one more time, and do something big, phone calls, faxes does not give us a public exposure, what we need now is public exposure, I have have been saying this for a while but no one seems to give an important consideration. Right now media attantion is in DC, and we can use that in our own advantage.

and why, pray, does your esteemed school keep accepting students from these so called "sub-standard" colleges in india? i would say 5-7 years of observed emperical evidence calls for some substantial action on your and your school's part in black-listing these institutions........so, either:
1. you are blowing smoke through eveyone's a** here or
2. the school is greedy for tuition fees - proving an earlier contention made in this thread about it being all about money....
P.S - i am not from one of these schools so no personal stake!

Sens. Schumer and Hutchison have offered the Bridge amendment. The amendment has been withdrawn but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is permanently withdrawn. According to www.shusterman.com It has a chanse to pass in September, just after the summer recess.
I believe all our efforts should be concentraited on this legislation!
Core Team, we badly need your advise, how can we help, what should we do in order to lobby this ammendment? It might be difficult because the majority of Schedule A professionals are still outside the US..... There in US we have only our lawers, who seems to me are not willing or can help us.

It is true that a lot of the members signed up just so that they can follow the happenings, and maybe post an immediate question that they might have. We may have a huge membership base, but without any action from such a base can make any plan from the core a failure. What we need to do is to energize the baselevel members. The senate is comprised of senators from our respective states, and the house has reps from each state. We have individual state chapeters for IV. I think the Core will need to plan out a strategy to help the state chapters approach their senators and house reps, while the core concentrates on contacting the DoJ committees. Meeting a few senators here and there will not help. We need to contact ALL the senators and apprise them of the situations. Rather than have a different message sent to each senator, the core will need to define an agenda, and the communication needed. The state chapters will need to take that and follow up with their respective senators and reps, without diluting any of the messages. Having the core meet all the senators is not proper, we need to pitch in too. Unless we work as a team, nothing that the core has planned will work.
I was/am a member in immigration.com where all the talk of starting this forum happened. I have interacted with the core on many occassions before, and I was also one of the first to join this community. But work and family pressures prompted me to stay away, and in the meantime, my handle and password were forgotten. I had to resign up, and what I find today is that there is no understanding between the members. Be thankful that this forum was set up, and contribute positively in any way you can. Without your support, the core cant do it all. Lets stop worring about donations and membership fees. We are all intelligent, and highly paid. We have the brains to talk to senators and house reps. Lets move forward to get at least piecemeal legislations passed. Lets not wait for CIR. CIR is not going to happen, so dont believe in it.

EB3_NEPA, I'm pretty sure that's how it works. They first use the regular EB3 numbers available.
Black_logs are you ABSOLUTELY sure that they eat into the EB3 numbers? On the Visa Bulletin, they have a seperate entry below the EB3. Just curious if we are getting this Schedule A thing correctly

Did use the technique mentioned here and was able to send the flyer to all new agencies in less then 5 minutes.

on IE go

Well, so far so good for me. As per Zillow estimate, my home value is now 10k more than my purchase price. It depends on where you're buying.
I guess that when the economy starts climbing up and people starts buying houses, interest rate will also climb up to 6%. At 6%, I need to pay $400 more per month.

Today morning Ombudsman replied to my 2nd email ( as below) and confirmed my address - they said that a reply has been sent to me on Sep 11th for my 7001.
Then i sent a return email saying i didn't receive any reply till today Oct 2nd and he further emailed me back saying that USCIS must give me a response by Oct 30th on my Pending I-140. Keeping fingers crossed - will post here if i see any LUD or activity in my I-140 in the next 3 weeks time.
I've sent an email as well to Ombudsman a week before i sent my Form 7001.
Today they replied my email ( after 5 weeks) asking me to file form 7001 if I want any specific reply. They also mentioned that Form 7001 will be replied in 14 business days and the case will be investigated within 45 business days.
So i just replied to the email saying that i already mailed 7001 and its been 22 business days without any form of reply.
Lets see what they says now.
